China Care Gateway

Fees

Fees, stated in writing before you commit.

Our revenue comes solely from service and consulting fees. We take no commissions, referral fees, or revenue-share from any hospital. Every engagement starts with a written, itemized quote, and nothing is charged beyond it without your written agreement. This page sets out the whole structure.

The three parts of every quote

Every quote you receive from us separates the same three categories, so you can always see who is being paid for what.

Hospital charges Set by the institution in China and paid by you directly to the institution. You receive the institution's original invoice. We do not mark these charges up, and we do not share in them in any form.
Our service & consulting fee The coordination fee for our work, quoted in writing as a fixed figure before you commit to anything. It is invoiced by us, separately from all hospital charges. What it covers is set out below.
Third-party costs Travel, accommodation, and any interpretation or translation beyond the included scope, shown as separate line items at cost — no commissions from hotels, drivers, or interpreters either.

We do not publish medical prices anywhere on this website. Every case is different, and hospital charges vary by institution, provider and treatment plan; the binding figures are always the ones in your written, itemized quote, confirmed before you commit to anything.

The pathway review — a paid first step

Every engagement begins with a pathway review: your inquiry is assessed, and — where your case proceeds to specialist review — your records are read by clinicians in China whose time the process depends on. For that reason there are no free assessments: the pathway review is a paid first step, and its fee is confirmed to you in writing before you proceed.

Nothing further is charged until you have received and approved a written, itemized quote for the full pathway. If the review concludes that a pathway in China is not right for you, you are told so, and nothing beyond the review itself has been charged.

What our fee covers

  • Pathway review and planning — outlining the care pathways open to you, with realistic timelines.
  • Coordination — appointments, scheduling, and on-the-ground arrangements for the duration of your visit.
  • Interpretation and translation — coordination in English and Mandarin, and translation of your reports and records within the scope stated in your quote.
  • Documentation — assembling the papers you need, including documentation you can use for an insurance claim, which you submit to your insurer yourself.
  • Follow-up handover — your records from China, organized and translated into a package prepared for your own physician.

Anything outside this scope — extended stays, additional companions, services added after your quote — is quoted separately, in advance, in writing. There are no surprise line items.

How payment works

  • Hospital charges are paid directly to the institution in China, against the institution's own invoice.
  • Our fee is invoiced separately by us, on the terms stated in your written quote and service agreement, which you receive and sign before any fee is payable.
  • Insurance: we do not bill insurers directly, and we never promise that an insurer will pay. We provide claims documentation assistance — the organized, translated invoices and reports you need to submit a claim yourself. Whether a cost is covered is your insurer's decision; see the Fees & FAQ page.
  • Cancellations: coordination work already performed is chargeable; work not yet performed is not. The full terms are stated in your service agreement before you pay anything.

Because our only income is the fee you agree with us in writing, our interest is aligned with yours: the pathway that fits you, at the clearest cost we can document. Questions about any figure are welcome before you sign — that is what the written quote is for.
