Terms of service
These terms describe, in plain language, what China Care Gateway does and the basis on which it works. Your individual engagement is governed by the written service agreement you receive and sign before any fee is payable; if anything here differs from that agreement, the agreement prevails.
What we are / are not
- We are a coordination service for international patients seeking medical care in China: pathway review, written itemized quotes, appointment and visit coordination, interpretation and translation coordination, and a follow-up handover package.
- We are not a medical provider. We do not diagnose, prescribe, or make clinical decisions, and nothing on this website is medical advice.
- All clinical decisions are made by the physicians at the institution that treats you, together with you. The treating institution is responsible for your clinical care.
Not for medical emergencies. If you need urgent care, call 911 or your local emergency number. This website and our inquiry form are not monitored for emergencies.
How engagements work
- Pathway review. Every engagement begins with a pathway review — a paid first step. Its fee is confirmed in writing before you proceed, and nothing else is charged until you approve a written quote.
- Written quotes. Before any booking, you receive a written, itemized quote separating hospital charges, our service fee, and third-party costs. Hospital charges are paid directly to the institution; you receive the institution's original invoice. This website does not publish medical prices; a figure is binding only when it appears in your written, itemized quote.
- Our fees. Our revenue comes solely from service and consulting fees. We take no commissions, referral fees, or revenue-share from any hospital, and no commissions from hotels, drivers, or interpreters.
- Cancellation. Cancellation and refund terms are stated in your written quote and service agreement before any payment is due. Coordination work already performed is chargeable; work not yet performed is not.

The information on this website is general information about our services. It is not medical advice, and it is not an offer of treatment. Services described as "in preparation" are not yet available and are not sold or priced. We may update these terms and the website as services and legal review progress; the version in force for your engagement is the one in your signed service agreement.
